Is blog commenting dead? Definitely not. It is a great way for people to share their thoughts on the topic of a blog post.

When I comment, I don’t usually try to incite a response from the blog owner. I just share my piece, which is often good content by itself so I don’t fear (or really care) if my comment gets posted or not.

Blog commenting for spamming purposes just got worse, IMO, when some people got their hands on tools such as xrumer and scrapebox.
