SEO Blog

It’s impossible to understate the importance of ranking well in Google.

It’s a HUGE source of traffic, obviously, but you also shouldn’t underestimate the credibility that comes with being able to say that you’re ranked #1 on Google for a search term that’s relevant to your business.

Although SEO can be a deep subject, the basics are SIMPLE, and especially in the local search arena, because many businesses are doing little or no SEO work, there is the potential for you to DOMINATE in short order.

In fact, I believe I can teach you enough to crush the competition, in about… two pages.

You might not be an SEO guru but you’ll know 99% more than most small business owners.

It's time to go social.

Welcome to the trendy part of dominating your competition. If you haven’t grown up with the internet, this might be an area you have been dreading. However, because of their enormous popularity, you cannot afford to ignore Facebook, Twitter and the like. Nowadays you are likely to see major corporations featuring their Facebook page instead of their official website in their advertisements.

It seems very obvious therefore that you simply have to get involved with these platforms and start using social media for marketing if you want your business to survive.

You may wonder why this important aspect has been left until close to the end of this report. The fact is, unless you’ve put in place your autoresponder series, optimized your website and created your videos, there is little point in spending time on social media. This is an important tool which will drive more traffic to your website, but make sure that you have done all the other necessary changes first. Then you can spend time planning your social media strategy. Read More>>

If I asked 100 website owners for the one thing they need more of, over 90% would say “traffic”.

But they’d be wrong… Dead wrong!

You could have the prettiest, most technologically advanced website in the world, and a million visitors a day, but if none of that translates into sales, then really, what’s the point?

A while back I figured out that there is one CRUCIAL aspect of your website that is more important than any amount of traffic. Want to know what it is? All you have to do is… click below:

Practice makes perfect.

You may be an internet marketer who grew up writing sales copy, and you may therefore feel uncomfortable with the rise of video. Maybe you are camera-shy, you lack expertise or are worried about the expense. But video is so powerful in its ability to increase sales and video recording devices are so freely available that there is no excuse to keep on avoiding the subject.

There have been some hugely successful video marketing campaigns over the years. The Will It Blend? series of infomercials went viral and vastly increased sales, for example. You don’t have to do anything as slick and expensive, but video allows anyone to put a face to their website. People like to do business with people, not with faceless corporations, and video is the ideal way to show that you are a trustworthy and genuine person. Read More>>

Click here to listen to my take on the latest Google Panda Update.

I can’t hold this in any longer – I have to share with you everything I know about the most recent Panda update and Google’s attack on blog networks.

Over the past couple of weeks I’ve had many people come out of the woodwork asking for me to review their situation and share my advice on what they need to be doing to either revive their rankings and/or ensure they remain in Google’s good books.

Until now, I’ve been publicly pretty quite, because I don’t like speak till I know exactly what I’m going to say…

I don’t make stuff up, I speak what I know to be true.

Ps. I’m here to help, no optin, no charge… just me sharing the good stuff.

In our earlier post, we learned about the importance of list building. Now we are going to discuss about setting up your very own autoresponder series. It is really quite easy.

How To Install

It’s smart to use a third-party autoresponder provider. The set-up process and on-going management is made much easier but just as importantly, you can be sure that the emails you send will actually reach your subscribers. This is because of the relationship that email management providers have built with the major Internet Service Providers (ISPs) which allow your emails to get through without them being flagged as spam by mistake.

You can have a look at a few providers, but I recommend AWeber. It’s especially good for beginners because it has a ‘wizard’ which walks you through. The result is eye-catching and will allow your visitors to register the name and email address. Read More>>

Learn to drive traffic to your website.

Ok, ok, ok… we’re way past the point where you can successfully argue that your business doesn’t need a website. Even if the primary thrust of your business is offline, you simply must have an online presence.

We both know it, but the hard part is knowing where to start – it’s all too easy to become overwhelmed by all the different aspects of having the best online marketing strategies. Read More>>

Here’s the Small Business Internet Marketing Weekly with a summary of news and helpful links for small/medium sized business owners. And WOW what a big week it has been! You’ll discover in this week’s SEO news that SEO is definitely not for the faint hearted – this week we’ve seen a massive shake up with Google’s latest Panda update.

There’s plenty of talk around the traps about how SEO as we know it is dead – but you always expect that ;) SEO is long from being dead and it’s really just a matter of responding to the changes.

We’ve found those following our methods have been safe since we’re following the rule “build a variety of links, from a variety of different sources, with variety of different anchor texts, pointing to a variety of pages on your site”. If you’ve been following the method… you’re safe.

I’m actually working on a new report (as we speak) about solid SEO. Stay tuned for that since I’ll be looking for some proofreaders who want a preview copy :)

Anyway, I digress, here’s the news from this week:  Read More>>

It's time to build your list.

It would be great if all customers who visited your website were ready to buy and only needed to double check your prices and see whether you have a one hundred percent money-back guarantee. You can achieve this kind of success if you have a system in place to build your customers’ confidence and trust in you and what your business has to offer. That is what a good list building strategy can do for your business.

Consider an offline clothing store. Sometimes a customer will be in a hurry, rush into your store and be ready to make a purchase straight away. All sales are just not that easy. They might have entered the store just to do a spot of browsing, so how do you get them to the point of actually wanting to buy something. Read More>>
