I just wanted to provide a friendly nudge. Over the past few weeks we’ve been really digging into Google +. Integrating YouTube channels, linking Google plus listings, joining communities, commenting, fully setting up authorship and more… and you know what?

I’ve decided, Google + is no longer an option, it is a requirement to your online success. I know it kind of sucks the way Google has gone about it but you can either whinge and moan about it or (since you can’t beat them) join them.

So what’s the best way to get started? If you haven’t already, sign up to Google Plus and start to engage in your community. Follow people in your space, share content and get a feel for how it works.

Also, follow our pages and I’ll continue to help you out as best as I can. Remember we lead and others follow so stay ahead of the curve and follow my lead.

Note: Google recently rolled out some Google Plus customised URLs (see mine above) so the sooner you get your profile active, the sooner you can snag one of these important URLs. I bet, over time, these Google + pages will start to rank and get the same advantages as the exact match domains (EMDs) once did. Enough said!

Ok, here’s what I spotted this week:
