Hey Helen,

Thanks for the question and great to hear you're getting started :)

Since you're just starting out I'd start with some article marketing and blog commenting. Head to www.ezinearticles.com and submit 5-10 articles linking to both your homepage and to a deep link on your site. Then look for blogs in your industry and make some helpful comments (like this one) linking back to your site. Be careful not to do blog comment spam... add value!

Anyway that's a start, if you're looking for more check out: www.theSEOmethod.com

Thanks for giving those tips. I just started my blog weeks ago and I have concerns on promoting my blog this early.

If let's say, my blog has 8 only posts live, how soon should I start promoting it? Other sites say a lot of different things on when to do the blog promotion and I want to get your say about it.

I'd appreciate your insights on this one. Thanks!
